Grayson is a trooper and just keeps on being steady and stable. His pressures were on the higher side again today, but still within safe limits. His heartrate came down from the mid 90s to the low 60s today as well, which may indicate that the pain is under control and he is calm. He went for a CT scan this afternoon and in moving him around a lot of stuff in his lungs loosened and has been able to be suctioned out. That is a good sign that he doesn't have pneumonia (a common effect of being on the ventilator) and it also helped lower his intercranial pressure.
I met with all the different surgeons that will be working on fixing Grayson's head and face today. He has a lot of broken bones in his forehead, sinus cavities and eyes, but the doctors told me that they have operated on 4-5 patients this month with very similar injuries so he is in great hands. We are still waiting for his pressure to stabilize before the surgeries and they are tentatively scheduled for next Wednesday.

Yeah, Grayson! Keeping it steady and stable- that's what we like to see. Everyone at Weston is thinking of you and asking about you. There is much love here for you. Jon has been holding down the fort in Borger but is coming back this weekend to see you. Work is so boring without you here!
Love you lots,
Jona nd Tricia

Grayson, our thoughts are with you every single day! we are so glad to hear you are waking up and starting to heal. Lauren, I know you have been through a lot and are a strong girl, and your strength will see him through as he gets better. Our love to you both,
Elizabeth Heilig and Michael Schmidt
We did not always get along during our Hurrican Katrina days, but I do have a good deal of respect for you. I hope to butt heads again with you in the future, so please be well. I wish you the best, and you and your family are in my prayers.
